NYC Schools

This article is talking about NYC Schools and how the parents , teacher and, students are satisfied with their schools. In addition, teachers claim schools are sustaining order and making a child's success their main priority. A survey conducted by the Department Of Education which accounts for 10 percent of the schools grade and nearly 15 million parents, teachers and, students responded to the survey saying they were satisfied or unsatisfied with their school.

I think the survey is a great idea but should account for more of the schools report card . I also believe that there are numerous school that aren't doing their best. The reason for this is that there isn't enough student and teacher interaction. I also think there should be smaller classes and school. In my old high school there was too much distractions and it was very disorganized. The high school's name was William H Maxwell C.T.E. located in East New York. The school was very crowded and there was a lot of gang violence in this neighborhood and a fight almost everyday in the school, back to back. So I transferred and came to E.A.R West Side HS. I am very satisfied with E.A.R. West Side HS. The class are much smaller and there are enough students and teacher interaction. The teachers motivate the students way better then my old school to pass and get better grades . The teachers haven't given up on me like they did in my old high school. I have done the survey and its quick. Only take about a minute or two.
In conclusion, the surveys given in school are an effective way of knowing what going and in our school. It is also a great way of knowing if our school are doing there jobs to get there student to graduate.I think it all depend on the atmosphere . If their mess, distractions and not enough teachers to really focus on there student individually so they can focus on there problem areas then it will be much harder for the kids to understand the work and learn .
